In addition to its reputation as the entertainment capital of the world, the City of Angels is at the center of the world’s fashion culinary arts, science and medicine industries. Dozens of its neighborhoods were shaped by immigrants, including Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Filipinotown, Little Armenia, Koreatown and much more. Best of all, every part of America’s second-larges city offers free entertainment opportunities garnished with plenty of sun, shopping and sightseeing.
1. Visit Mulholland Drive
Drive along this famous road that spans from the Hollywood Hills to the Ocean.
2. Pacific Coast Highway
You can drive the entire cost of California with this highway, but if your visiting LA enjoy a small chunk of the cost from this scenic highway.
3. Rodeo Drive
Go on a window shopping adventure in the super elite shopping district of Rodeo Drive. Enjoy seeing all the famous and infamous designer clothing without having to go in and deal with the hassle.

4. TV Audience
Many of the famous shows filmed in LA allow for you to be in the audience for free. These shows include Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and The Price is Right. If your interested in doing this make sure you order the tickets in advance since they do sell out, even though they are free.
5. Griffith Observatory
Visit the observatory and enjoy the different exhibits while touring the building.
6. Exposition Park
Enjoy this park on your own or take a walking tour around the park to learn about the history of the area.
7. El Pueblo Historical Monument
Enjoy visiting the original birth location of Los Angeles. This is where the original settlement was located dating back to 1781.
8. Hollywood Bowl Museum
This museum features exhibits on different moments throughout the history of Jazz, Classical, and Rock & Roll music.
9. Avila Adobe
Visit the oldest house in Los Angeles.
10. Olvera Street
Stroll down this street enjoying window shopping and the historic architecture lining the road.

11. LA Art Walk
This artwalk occurs the second Thursday of each month. This is a great time to see some of the latest art around for free.
12. See the Hollywood Sign
Although you will not be able to actually get to the sign, see how close you can get to this famous Hollywood icon.
13. Los Angeles Central Public Library
This library is built in Egyptian style architecture that will make you feel almost as though you are in a whole different country.
14. La Brea Tar Pits
Visit this area to see where over 100 fossilized bones have been discovered ranging back to before the dinosaurs.

15. Hollywood Walk of Fame
Stroll down this famous street and see the brass stars that line the road.
16. Korean Bell of Friendship
This bell was designed to represent different aspects central to uniting both cultures in harmony and friendship. You will be able to see the harbor below while visiting the bell.
17. Hollywood Forever Cemetery
Visit this cemetary to visit some of the original Hollywood stars including Rudolph Valentino. You also maybe able to catch a movie during the summer months at this cemetery.
18. Griffith Park
Come visit the largest park in the United States. This park is 4,107 acres large and has many different trails running through it. If your not up to a hike bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the scenery.
19. Audubon Center at Debs Park
If you have an interest in birds this is the place to visit. You can get away and view the birds without ever having to leave the city. This building is also the first LEED Platinum-certified building in the area which will add to your visit.
20. Palisades Park
We recommend visiting this famous park during sunset where you will have a beautiful view of the ocean. This park has many trails and is up on a cliff over looking the ocean.
21. Point Fermin Park and Lighthouse
This lighthouse is on a 37 acre park. Here you will have scenic views of the ocean and the lighthouse. The lighthouse dates back to 1874 and is beautiful in its self to visit.

22. Archery lessons in Pasadena
If you are able to visit Pasadena on a Saturday make sure you stop by for free archery lessons from the Roving Archers.
23. Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve
If you are feeling too city bound check out this great location. Here you will feel as though you are no longer within the city of LA with all the different ducks and waterfowl filling this reserve.
24. Banning Residence Museum
This museum is from 1864 when it was popular to use Greek architecture in residences. This was the home of General Phineas Banning who is considered to be the father of the LA Harbor.
25. Getty Center
This museum overlooks the coast line. From here you will be able to see different types of art and enjoy the beautiful view.
26. California African American Museum
This museum’s goal is to further the publics awareness of the contributions made by African Americans to society. It is great to visit and has a wide array of different exhibits.
27. Getty Villa
This educational center has a wide array of artwork and cultural pieces from Greece, Rome, and Etruria. It is dedicated to educating people on the art and culture of these ancient societies.
28. Travel Town Museum
This museum is dedicated to the history of the railroads in the Western half of the United States. It includes various trolleys and steam locomotives.
29. Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust
This museum’s goal is to help educate and inform the public about the Holocaust. It tells of those who were lost and who survived the Holocaust along with the different aspects of the ghettos and concentration camps.
30. LA Ink Tatoo Shop
Even if you have no interest in getting a tattoo, this is a great experience. This shop was made famous from the “LA Ink” TV series and is owned by Kat Von D. It can even be a fun place for a photo op.
31. Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum
This museum offers free guided tours on Wednesday – Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. The tours are given on the hour each hour.
32. Dominguez rancho Adobe Museum
This museum was the 1st Rancho grant in California and was over 75,000 acres. The grant was given by King Carlos III to Juan Jose Dominguez. Tours are free on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the hours of 9 am, 10 am and 11 am. Other tours are available on Wednesdays and Sundays at 1 pm, 2pm, and 3 pm. If you are going to be bringing a group of 10 or more call ahead to make reservations.

33. Justice Brothers Racing Museum
This museum is always free to the public and includes a wide array of different racing memorabilia covering the history of automobile racing.
